Adventures In Camp

What is Adventures in Camp?

The Adventure

Adventures in Camp is a summer day camp that has daily and weekly activities that everyone enjoys! Once a week there is a field trip, one day is pizza and swimming, and our other days we have fun playing inside, outside and even on our water slide!

Three years ago we started $5 Fridays. This is when the children bring in $5 on Fridays instead of packing their lunch. (Moms and Dads love this--no lunch to pack!!) With that money we order pizza, play at the pool all day and have ice cream! The campers (and counselors) absolutely LOVE Fridays!

Hopefully you will get the chance to see how much FUN we have in a summer's adventure!

We have had Sign Language lessons, visits from Joey the Clown, and Specialist Jackson from the United States ARMY.
Previous Field Trips were to the Washington Mystics Women's Basketball game, Jeepers, The National ZOO, the movies, Baltimore Orioles game, Bowie Baysox baseball game, Port Discovery, Baltimore Harbor, Paddle boating and fishing at Centennial Park, Six Flags Amusement Park, Chuck E. Cheeses, Enchanted Forest and so much more!

Who knows what the summer of 2010 will bring, you will just have to find out for yourself!

Sports include:

Basketball, Soccer, Kickball
Tag, Capture the flag
Baseball, four square
Relay races, Jump roping
Volleyball, 500, hopscotch
Swimming and much more!

Activities include:

Musical freeze tag, musical chairs
Dance- Dance, sidewalk chalk
Board games, card games
Talent show, dance contests
Swinging, bubbles and much more!

Arts and crafts include:

Making necklaces using gimp, floss, and beads.
Making t-shirts, hats, picture frames, and much more!
